These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the website located at songflip.link and the mobile application “SongFlip” for Android. By accessing the website or using the app, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Scope of Service & Functionality
SongFlip is an Android utility application designed to intercept shared music hyperlinks from various streaming services and automatically launch the corresponding track, album, or artist profile in your chosen target music player.
SongFlip does not host, store, stream, transmit, or reproduce any music files, audio streams, or copyrighted media. The app operates purely as a technical routing and resolution tool for publicly accessible web hyperlinks.
2. Third-Party Music Content & API Disclaimer
Matching and resolution across different platforms are performed via automated queries to publicly available endpoints and APIs (such as Odesli / Songlink, iTunes Lookup, Deezer, Spotify OEmbed, YouTube OEmbed).
- No Content Warranty: We make no representations or warranties regarding the accuracy, completeness, or ongoing availability of catalog data or search results provided by third-party services.
- Third-Party Rights: Legality of music content, streaming rights, and licensing on target platforms are solely the responsibility of the respective streaming providers and rights holders.
- API Availability: Should third-party providers restrict, modify, or deprecate their interfaces, automatic redirection capabilities may be temporarily or permanently affected.
3. Trademark Disclaimer & Independence
SongFlip is an independent open-source project created by Daniel Notthoff. There is no business affiliation, partnership, sponsorship, or endorsement between SongFlip and any of the following entities:
- Spotify (Spotify AB / Spotify Technology S.A.)
- Apple Music (Apple Inc.)
- YouTube / YouTube Music (Google LLC / Alphabet Inc.)
- TIDAL (TIDAL Music AS / Block, Inc.)
- Deezer (Deezer S.A.)
- Amazon Music (Amazon.com, Inc.)
All trademarks, service marks, brand names, and logos displayed on this website and in the app are the property of their respective owners. Their reference is strictly nominative fair use to describe service compatibility and the intended functionality of link conversion.
4. Free Core Functionality & Open Source (GPLv3)
Core features of SongFlip (0-click redirection for songs, albums, and artists, custom source toggles, Quick Settings pause tile) are and will remain 100% free and ad-free forever.
The Android application source code is licensed under the GNU General Public License v3 (GPLv3) and is publicly available on GitHub for audit and community contribution.
5. Optional Pro Features & In-App Purchases
For advanced power-user capabilities (such as 1:1 playlist sync & transfer, Gemini-enhanced AI matching, or universal share links), an optional SongFlip PRO license is available:
- One-Time Lifetime Purchase: SongFlip PRO is offered exclusively as a one-time In-App Purchase (Lifetime License). It is explicitly not a recurring subscription, and there are no ongoing charges.
- Payment Processing: All transactions, billing, and refunds are handled securely via Google Play In-App Billing (Google Commerce Limited) in accordance with Google Play Terms of Service.
- Refunds & Cancellations: Refund requests and statutory withdrawal rights are governed by Google Play Store policies and applicable consumer protection regulations.
6. Limitation of Liability
SongFlip and the website are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the software.
7. Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Germany, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG). To the extent permitted by law, the courts located at the operator’s domicile (Wetter, Germany) shall have exclusive jurisdiction.
